The Visconti Fountain Pen “Twelve Tribes of Israel” -Limited Edition 61625 pays tribute to the history of the 12 tribes of Israel and at the twelve Sons of Jacob. The Torah traces the Israelites to the patriarch Jacob, grandson of Abraham. Jacob’s twelve sons (in order of birth), Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin, became the ancestors of the twelve tribes. All of them are represented in this symbolic Visconti limited edition fountain pen, which takes you to the Promised Land with the first stroke.
Visconti has taken care of the smallest detail while designing this special limited edition. Distinctive signs are attributed to each tribe. Represented by an enamelled pictogram is the High-Priest’s Pectoral, which contains the colours of all the tribes. The ancient silver-plated body features a shallow engraving of an olive tree branch, symbolising peace and prosperity. The body’s rotating system reveals the tribes of Israel one after the other, from right to left: Reouvene, Shimone, Levy, Yehouda, Yissakhar, Zevouloune, Dan, Naphthali, Gad, Asher, Yossef, Binyamine.
The clip has been modelled evoking the hand of a Torah pointer, a sign of protection. The five fingers represent the five books of the Torah. Other symbols such as the Menorah and the Star of David are also engraved in this Visconti Fountain Pen “Twelve Tribes of Israel” -Limited Edition. The details in blue resin are a reminiscence of the Israel’s flag’s colour.
Every piece is presented in a round wooden case, shaped after the one containing the Sefer Torah, the holiest book within Judaism. This limited edition is made up of 512 fountain pens in solid silver.
